Stasiuk / Haydamaky: Mickiewicz XXI
A joint music project of the Polish writer Andrzej Stasiuk and the Ukrainian folk rock band Haydamaky presenting the poetry of Adam Mickiewicz.
We produced a television version of the show: the music material was rearranged and enriched with a part of symphony orchestra and ancient instruments such as hurdy-gurdy, Turkish flutes and bandura.
I think reaching for Mickiewicz was a great idea. I am convinced that we are doing a lot of good work at the intersection between Polishness and Ukrainianness.
